LYNDON CENTER, Vt. — Husson upped its overall record to 18-16 and its mark in the North Atlantic Conference to 13-5 with a four-game sweep of Lyndon over the weekend. The Eagles won by scores of 7-5 and 10-5 on Saturday before logging wins of 19-7 and 15-4 Sunday.
The loss drops the Hornets to 2-24 overall and 2-14 in NAC play.
Husson 7, Lyndon 5
Despite a late Lyndon rally, Husson was able to plate two runs in its final at bat and walk off with the win. Zachary Yates got the win in relief and Shawn Smith was credited with a save.
Smith and Pat Thibodeau had two hits each in the contest for the Eagles. R.T. Trucott had two hits for the Hornets and Isaac Earle was tagged with the loss.
Husson 10, Lyndon 5
Dennis O'Neil went the distance to get the win as Husson pulled off the sweep at Skip Pound field. He allowed four earned runs on seven hits while striking out one and walking two.
Husson 19, Lyndon 5
Husson took advantage of 10 Lyndon errors to post a lopsided victory. Dan Whitney earned the win for the Eagles and Brandon Gendreau pounded out three hits to lead Husson's 15-hit attack.
Husson 15, Lyndon 4
Husson continued its torrid hitting in the nightcap of Sunday's twin bill, hammering out 16 hits en route to its 13th conference win of the season.
Tim Nason went six innings to get the win, allowing three earned runs while striking out one. Thibodeau and Smith had three hits each for the winners while Dylan Newton collected two for Lyndon. Zach Hatin took the loss.
