Eason adds to accolades with ABCA/Rawlings and NEIBA All-New England selections

Babson Park, MA - The post-season accolades continued to come in for Lyndon State College baseball player Andre Eason Jr. (Waterbury, CT) on Tuesday, as he was named a 2018 All-New England Region 2nd Team selection by the American Baseball Coaches Association in conjunction with the New England Intercollegiate Baseball Association.  This honor comes on the heels of Eason's All-Region 2nd Team selection by D3baseball.com on Monday.

Eason, a senior Applied Psychology and Criminal Justice major, was Lyndon's starting center fielder this season.  He led the North Atlantic Conference with a .411 batting average.  His .517 slugging percentage was good for 7th in the NAC.  He also drove in 34 runs and collected 12 extra base hits, including nine doubles.  Defensively, he recorded 84 putouts and 4 assists against only one error in center field.

Eason led the Hornets to a 20-20 overall record this season, including a 15-7 record in the NAC, the program's best conference mark ever.  Lyndon finished in second place in the NAC and finished third in the NAC championship Tournament.
