CASTINE, Maine - Lyndon defeated the Maine Maritime Academy Mariners 72-66 in a North Atlantic Conference match-up at MMA's Margaret Smith Gymnasium. The Hornets picked up their first NAC win of the year and their second overall.
Phil Warrick (Springfield, Mass.) and Rob Alers (Central Falls, R.I.) scored 14 points each fior Lyndon while Antonio Mena (Central Falls, R.I.) chipped in 12 points and eight rebounds. Jose Fortunato (Boston, Mass.) played well in the victory, scoring nine points while grabbing a team-high 10 rebounds.
Paul Campbell had his finest game of the season for the Mariners scoring 32 points and grabbing 10 boards. Shawn Dostie scored 11 in the loss while Ben Russell dished out a team high six assists.
