Lyndon drops three over Thanksgiving Break
SALT LAKE CITY, Utah - Lyndon fell to 0-5 on the season when it dropped two games at the 2011 Westminster Classic in Salt Lake City, Utah and another to Springfield Colege on Tuesday, Nov. 22.
On Friday, the Hornets were handed an 81-46 setback by the host Griffins at Behnken Fieldhouse. Jason Gray (East Thatford, Vt.) led Lyndon with 17 points and 13 rebounds while Ben Sackett (Lyndonville, Vt.) and John Williams (Springfield, Mass.) chipped in 10 points and four assists, respectively.
One day later, the Hornets dropped a 103-58 decision to Carroll (Mont.) College in the second round of the Classic. Gray had a team-high 18 points and Sackett added 14. Asa Smith (Cheltenham, Md.) had 11 points three assists and three steals in the contest while Williams collected nine rebounds and handed out three assists.
Earlier in the week, Lyndon traveled to Springfield, Mass. and found itself on the short end of a 92-67 loss to Springfield College. Gray amassed 29 points, 10 rebounds, two assists and two blocked shots in the game and Smith had in 12 points in the loss.
