LYNDON CENTER, Vt. — Jason Gray, a junior forward with the Lyndon men's basketball team, has been named to the All-North Atlantic Conference Second Team for a second consecutive season.
Gray, a native of East Thetford, Vt., started all 25 games he competed in and led the Hornets in minutes played with 869 for a per-game average of 34.8. From the field, he connected on .383 (141-368) of his field goal attempts while knocking down 37-of -117 attempts (.316) from beyond the three-point arc. From the free throw line, Gray was 44-for-55 for a percentage of .800.
As Lyndon's main post threat, he collected a total of 39 offensive and 160 defensive rebounds for a team-leading per-game average of 8.0. Gray also collected 38 assists, 36 blocked shots and 23 steals in his junior campaign.
As of Tuesday, Feb. 21, Gray is a mere 46 points shy of the 1,000 point plateau for his career. For the season, he amassed 363 points for a team-leading points-per-game average of 14.5.
This marked the second time in as many years Gray has received All-NAC honors. In the 2010-11 season he was named to the league's Second Team after leading the Hornets to the NAC title game.
