NEWARK, N.J. – Ryan Woods and Ky Howard both scored a game-high 16 points to lead the New Jersey Institute of Technology men's basketball team to a 98-42 win over Division III Lyndon State College at Fleisher Athletic Center.
The Highlanders had three other double-digit scorers as all 11 players reached the scoring column. Howard's 16 points marked a career-best as were the 13 by Mitch Farrell and the 11 for Daquan Holiday, who added a game-high 10 rebounds for the first double-double of his NCAA career and the first by a Highlander this season.
Nigel Sydnor matched his best NCAA effort with 12 points.
Lyndon State (0-2) was led by Jason Gray (East Thetford, Vt.) in both scoring (12) and rebounding (8). Devyn Baranauskas (Waterbury, Conn.) was the only other Hornet in double figures, netting 11 points. Howard Lyles (Washington, D.C.) chipped in a team-high three assists and three steals.
