Beavers hand Hornets first NAC loss

LYNDON CENTER, Vt. — Ben Johnson had 26 points, 16 rebounds and two blocked shots as the University of Maine at Farmington defeated Lyndon 74-59 Saturday. The loss was the first for the Hornets in North Atlantic Conference play this season.

Andrew Dickey had 16 points, eight rebounds and three steals for the Beavers (8-3, 4-2) while Yusuf Iman and Nick Hilton added 14 and 10 points respectively. Sam Leal had a team-high five assists in the victory.

Devyn Baranauskas (Waterbuy Conn.) collected 22 points and three assists for Lyndon (5-4, 4-1) and George Carle (Central Falls, R.I.) had 13 points and five rebounds. Jose Fortunato(Boston, Mass.) chipped in six assists and six rebounds; and Jason Gray (East Thetford, Vt.) blocked two shots in the contest.
