Fortunato, Gray shine in Hornet victory

LYNDON CENTER, Vt. — Jose Fortunato recorded a triple-double and Jason Gray earned a double-double as Lyndon defeated Green Mountain 90-70 Tuesday in North Atlantic Conference men's basketball action at Stannard Gymnasium.

With the victory, the Hornets improve to 11-12 overall and 10-6 in the North Atlantic Conference and the loss drops the Eagles to 4-18 overall and 3-13 in NAC play.

Fortunato (Boston, Mass.) collected 10 points, 10 assists and 13 rebounds while Gray (East Thetford, Vt.) poured in a game-high 28 points to along with 11 rebounds. The duo also had two blocked shots and two steals each in the contest. Devyn Baranauskas (Waterbury, Conn.) had 19 points for the winners and George Carle (Central Falls, R.I.) added 15 points and eight rebounds.

Carnelius Green had a team-high 23 points and 11 rebounds for Green Mountain and Terry Jones chipped in eight points. Alex Homkey had a three assists and four steals for the Eagles.
