Hornet men overwhelmed in exhibition loss to UNH

Durham, NH - The Lyndon State College men's basketball team was defeated, 111-31, by NCAA Division I University of New Hampshire on Saturday afternoon.  The game was classified as an exhibition for the Hornets, but was a countable contest for the Wildcats, who raised their record to 3-8.

UNH opened the game with an 18-0 run and the Hornets never threatned.  Tanner Leissner topped four double figure scorers for the Wildcats, tallying 14 points and adding 10 rebounds.  Jahleel Gabriel (Springfield, MA) and Kevin Love (Bristol, CT) led Lyndon with six points each.  UNH held a 66-12 rebounding advantage and forced the Hornets into 29 turnovers.

Lyndon returns to action on Saturday, December 30th, when they travel to Eastern Nazarene College for a 1:00 pm non-conference tip-off.
