Laramee to lead Lyndon men’s tennis program

LYNDON CENTER, Vt. — Laura Laramee, the former men's tennis coach at Johnson State College and 2012 North Atlantic Conference Coach of the Year has been hired to coach the men's tennis program at Lyndon beginning in the 2012-13 school year.

Laramee, who also served as assistant coach for the Johnson women's tennis team, compiled a 16-14 overall record with the Badgers over the past two seasons.

"I'm very pleased to have Laura joining our coaching staff," said Lyndon Director of Athletics Chris Ummer. "Laura brings with her over 30 years of coaching experience as well as previous experience at the Division III level and the North Atlantic Conference. We look forward to her re-building the men's tennis program."

An avid tennis enthusiast, Laramee has coached the Lake Region High School girl's tennis team since 1999 and was a tennis instructor at Smugglers' Notch Resort in Stowe, Vt. for 11 years. Also, Laramee has been the head teaching professional in the North Troy Tennis Program, a league that serves athletes ages six to 18, since the1997 season.
