Men's tennis holds Senior Day

Lyndonville, VT - The Lyndon State College men's tennis team recently recognized its two senior men's tennis players, Jake LaCerda (Gray, ME) and Raymond Monroe (Cranston, RI).  Senior Day would typically be held at the team's final home match, but the inclement spring weather moved all of this season's matches off campus, so the team held a s[pecial recognition event in Stannard Gymnasium.

LaCerda, an atmospheric science major, was a three-year member of the team.  This season he was the Hornets' first singles player, and was also part of the first doubles team.  He earned 2nd Team All-North Atlantic Conference honors, and was also named to the NAC All-Sportsmanship Team.

Monroe, a music business and industry major, competed in tennis for the first time this season.  He played both fifth and sixth flight singles, as well as third doubles.
