MIDDLEBURY, Vt. – The Lyndon men's cross country team ran to a second place finish at the Vermont Intercollegiate Championships hosted by Middlebury College.
New England powerhouse, Middlebury College Panthers, currently ranked 6th in New England, won the meet with a perfect score of 15. Lyndon scored 62 point, 29 points in front of division II Saint Michael's College who finished third. Leading the way for Lyndon was sophomore Josh Grant (Nashua, N.H.). He covered the eight-kilometer course in 27:36 for 7th place overall.
Grant was followed by Kenedi Hall (Hartland, Vt.) in 15th place (28:43) and Dylan MacNevin (Northwood, N.H.) who placed 21st with in a time of 29:08. Juniors Wildens Fils (Stamford, Ct.) (29:14) and Craig Johnson (North Kingston, RI) (29:54) place 24th and 30th respectively.
"Second place behind the best men's team Middlebury has ever had is something to be pleased with," said Lyndon Head Coach Chris Ummer. "Our men have nothing to be disappointed with. This was an excellent measuring stick for them."
