Lyndon harriers dominate NAC weekly honors
LYNDON CENTER, Vt. — Three members of the Lyndon cross country program earned North Atlantic Conference honors for their performances in the week ending Sunday, Oct. 24.
Grant, a sophomore from Nashua, N.H, was the Hornet's top finisher at the St. Michael's College Invitational held Friday, Oct. 22 in Colchester, Vt. He led the Hornets to a fifth-place team finish and placed seventh overall out of 65 competitors.
Grant bested all Division II runners, eight Division I competitors and was two seconds off his eight-kilometer personal record - completing the race in 26:53.
Powell, a senior from Lunenburg, Vt., was the Hornet's top female finisher at the St. Michael's College Invitational. She led the Hornets to a fourth place team finish and ran the five-kilometer course in a personal record time of 21:19 Powell came in 26th amongst a field that featured more than 35 Division I and II runners.
Hall, a freshman from Hartland, Vt., was the Hornet's first freshman to cross the finish line at the St. Michael's College Invitational. He completed the eight-kilometer course in a time of 28:47, four seconds off his personal record. Hall placed 30th overall in the event.
