Lyndon men's place second at state meet

COLCHESTER, Vt. – The Hornet men's team earned a hard-fought second place finish behind 13th-ranked Middlebury College and in front of event host Saint Michael's College an NCAA Division II institution.

Josh Grant (Nashua, N.H.) paced the Hornets with a third-place overall finish. He covered the cold, wet, and windy eight-kilometer course in a time of 26:56. Grant was followed by Kenedi Hall (Hartland, Vt.) for 11th place in a time of 28:15.

Tyler Scheibenplug (Walcott, Conn.) was third for the Hornets in 28:27 while Joe Kill (Randolph, Vt.) ran as the Hornet number four man on the day with a time of 28:30. Craig Johnson (North Kingston, R.I.) rounded out the top-five for the Hornets with a time of 28:39.
