Lyndon men second at Vermont State Championships
LYNDON CENTER, Vt. — The Lyndon men's cross country team ran to a second-place finish at the Vermont State Championships. NCAA Division III power Middlebury College won the meet with 25, the Hornets collected a total of 48 points and Norwich University came in third with 100 points.
The Panthers' Nate Sans topped the field of 86 runners with a time of 28:23.4 while Lyndon's Kyle Powers (Waterford, Vt.) followed close behind in 28:29.1. Middlebury's Greg Krathwohl ran to a third-place result in 28:30.1 and the Hornet tandem of Josh Grant (Nashua, N.H.) and Tyler Scheibenpflug (Wolcott, Conn.) came in fourth and fifth place with times of 28:34.4 and 29:00.2, respectively.
