LYNDON CENTER, Vt. — The Lyndon Athletics Department has announced the hiring of Christina Howe as its Assistant Athletic Trainer effective Monday, Dec. 10.
A 2012 graduate of the University of New Hampshire, Howe has gained significant training experience as an Athletic Training Student at Dover (N.H.) High School in the Fall & Winter of 2011. In that same time period, she also held the position of Student Athletic Trainer with the UNH Women's Basketball Program.
In the Spring of 2010, Howe was a student member of the athletic training staff for the Wildcat Football Program and trained the UNH Cross Country/Track & Field teams in the Fall of 2009. Her experiences also include working the Wildcat Field Hockey and Basketball Camps as well as holding the title of Teaching Assistant at UNH from 2011-2012.
In addition to her athletic training experiences, Howe has been a substitute teacher (Dec. 2009-present) in her hometown of Windsor, Vt. and has worked with special needs students at the Hartland Elementary School (May 2009).
In the past, she has held the title of camp counselor at the Hartland Recreation Center (June-Aug. 2008) and was an aide at the Mount Ascutney Hospital Outpatient Physical Therapy Department from December 2005 through February 2007.
She is a member of the Alpha Epsilon Delta and Gold Key International Honor Societies and graduate Magna Cum Laude. Howe is a Board of Certification certified athletic trainer and a member of the National Athletic Trainers Association (NATA).
