LYNDON CENTER, Vt. — Rachel Williams shook off early foul trouble to propel New England to a 59-48 North Atlantic Conference women's basketball win over Lyndon.
Williams poured in 16 points and grabbed 10 rebounds after intermission en route to an 18-point, 12-rebound effort that allowed the Pilgrims (7-0, 2-0) to remain unbeaten on the season. Jessie Ledy chipped in 10 points in the win and Katarina Muska came off the bench to collected six rebounds.
Donna Lawson (Irasburg, Vt.) had 11 points, 16 rebounds six blocked shots and three steals in the contest for Lyndon (1-2, 0-2) and teammate Naomi White (Danville, Vt.) added 16 points and three steals.
