NORTHFIELD, Vt. – A late 9-0 run helped propel visiting Lyndon past Norwich University 55-52 at Andrew Gymnasium. Donna Lawson had a game-high 20 points and 13 rebounds for the Hornets in the win.
Trailing 49-42 with 4:30 to go Lyndon (6-9) sandwiched three-pointers by Naomi White (Danville, Vt.) and Chelsea Watson (Eliot, Maine) around a Jasmin Amaral (Westport, Mass.) layup to take its first lead since the opening half. Danielle LaFont (Albany, Vt.) scored 11 points and Watson had 10 to round out the top scorers for Lyndon.
Norwich (6-12) was led by Aliah Curry's 18 points and eight rebounds. The scoring effort was Curry's 13th straight in double figures. Jessalyn Sweeney had 13 points for the Cadets to go along with seven boards.
