LYNDON CENTER, Vt. — The Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts women's soccer team earned its first win of the season with a 1-0 road victory over Lyndon at the LSC Athletics Field.

The contest remained scoreless until the 41:34 mark of the first half when MCLA's Lindsay Roy took a cross from Lauren Fender and chipped a shot over Hornet goalkeeper Tia Billado.

In the second half, the Trailblazers managed to fend off several Lyndon runs at the net to preserve the victory. MCLA goalie Jen Wehner made nine saves to get the win while Billado registered a total of two saves in the loss.
