Lyndon women to host youth clinic, charity event

LYNDON CENTER, Vt. - The Lyndon women's soccer program will team up with Lyndonville Youth Soccer to host a free soccer clinic on Saturday, Sept. 24 beginning at 9 a.m. at the Lyndon Town School. This "Kick Hunger" event will benefit the emergency food pantry at the Lyndonville area office of H.O.P.E. (Helping Other People Everyday).

All participants are asked to make a donation and bring a non-perishable food item to both Lyndon men's and women's soccer games versus the University of Maine at Farmington, scheduled to start at 1 and 3 p.m., respectively, later that day. The clinic is open to all Lyndon Area Youth Soccer from Pre-Kindergarten through 2nd grade.

Volunteer student-athletes from the Hornet women's soccer team will coach the youths through an hour of basic soccer skills and athletic activities.  The program will be overseen by the Lyndon women's soccer coaching staff.
