NEW LONDON, N.H. – The Colby-Sawyer women's tennis team earned a 7-2 victory over Lyndon, in the school's first-ever North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) East Division match.
The Chargers began the match by sweeping all three doubles matches in convincing fashion. The No. 1 doubles tandem of Liz Lincoln and Claire Toffey blanked Lyndon's duo of Kelsey Johnson (Wite River Junction, Vt.) and Kayla Flynn (Johnston, R.I.) 8-0. At the No. 2 flight, Siobhan Masse and Kathleen Rogers also picked up an 8-0 win over Kaitlin Cunningham (Manteca, Calif.) and Margaret Harrington (Pembroke, Mass.). Ari Marks and Ellen Graham made it a sweep after defeating Olivia Bernard and Margaret George (Glover, Vt.) 8-2 in the No. 3 slot.
Lincoln, Rogers, Graham, and Marks also picked up singles victories for the Chargers. Flynn and George were responsible for Lyndon's two points as they earned wins at the second and sixth flights, respectively.
