Flynn named NAC Player of the Week

LYNDON CENTER, Vt. — Kayla Flynn, a junior with the Lyndon women's tennis program, has been named Player of the Week in the North Atlantic Conference for the period ending Sunday, Sept. 16.

Flynn, a resident of Johnston, R.I., earned two wins each in singles and doubles play in the week. She teamed with Kelsey Johnson to earn a 9-8 (7-5) victory over Thomas' Jessica Bowen and Tyler Venture in No. 1 doubles Saturday. Later in the match, she bested Bowen 4-6, 6-2, 6-3 in first flight singles.

On Sunday, she joined forces with Maria Parr to secure an 8-2 victory over Castleton's Olga McIntyre and Felicia West in first flight doubles. Flynn closed out her weekend with a 6-1, 6-2 win over McIntyre in No. 1 singles.

For the season, Flynn is currently 2-2 in singles and 2-3 in doubles.
