LYNDON CENTER, Vt. — New Hampshire Tech ran its record to 13-1 with a 3-0 match victory over Lyndon. The Lynx earned the win by set scores of 25-19, 25-6 and 26-24.
The match was played out in front of more than 150 fans who turned out to support Lyndon's "Dig Pink" fundraiser. The event benefited the Side Out Foundation: Fighting Breast Cancer Through the Sport of Volleyball.
Amber Ross and Alesha Niswander led the way with 10 kills each and Meagen McHugh handed out a game-high 10 assists. McHugh also had six services aces in the match while Niswander collected a team-high six digs.
Christine Bailey (Lyndonville, Vt.) had five kills for Lyndon and Jaclyn Brett (Weymouth, Mass.) served up two aces. Ally Ciaramitaro (Melrose, Mass.) had 12 digs to lead the Hornets and Erica Ponte (westport, Mass.) chipped in two blocks.
