Badgers beat Hornets, close in on playoff berth

JOHNSON, Vt. –  The Johnson State College women's volleyball won a pivotal North Atlantic Conference match at Carter Gymnasium, defeating visiting Lyndon 3-0 (25-13, 25-10, 25-20) to take possession of the final NAC playoff spot with two league matches left to play. 

Johnson received service well throughout the match allowing only one Lyndon ace in the entire match. Kylie Van Etten assisted on all 17 of the Badgers kills on the night to spark Johnson to the victory.

Chelsea Vaillancourt showed a well-rounded game throughout the match leading the team with eight kills, seven service aces and six digs. Jessica Pafumi recorded six kills on the night while Alex Benlock supplied four service aces.

Lyndon was paced by Ally Ciaramitaro's (Melrose, Mass.) eight digs and five assists while Christine Bailey (Lyndonville, Vt.) paced the Hornets with three kills and six digs.
