Hornets fall in home finale

LYNDON CENTER, Vt. — Lyndon dropped a 3-0 decision to Daniel Webster in the finale of the Hornets' home volleyball schedule. The Eagles earned the win by set scores of 25-18, 25-3 and 25-16.

Chelsey Crawford had 12 kills and seven digs for Daniel Webster while teammate Samantha Hill chipped in nine kills, eight services aces and eight digs.
Caitlyn DePierro turned in a stellar performance for the Eagles, handing out a game-high 29 assists on the evening.

Erica Ponte (Westport, Mass.) and Ally Ciaramitaro (Melrose, Mass.) had three digs each for Lyndon and Jaclyn Brett (Weymouth, Mass.) had a team-high two services aces. Ciaramitaro also had 10 digs in the match and Christine Bailey (Lyndonville, Vt.) added nine.
