Hornets rally to defeat Johnson
JOHNSON, Vt. – Lyndon rallied from a 1-0 deficit to take the next three games and pick up a 3-1 (18-25, 31-29, 25-16, 25-17) non-conference women's volleyball victory. The Hornets staved up four game-points in the second game of the match to tie the match at one and rode that momentum to their first victory of the season.
Maegan Fried (Great Falls, Mont.) had a strong outing recording a match-high nine kills while adding 14 digs and three assists. Jaclyn Brett (Weymouth, Mass.) dealt out 13 assists and had seven digs while Joy Piper (Belmont, N.H.) had a stuffed stat sheet with 13 digs, five assists, four kills, four service aces, and four block assists.
Johnson's Kylie VanEtten notched 15 assists, 18 digs, and five service aces and Alex Benlock had six kills, six digs, and three service aces. Molly Grover added four kills and 11 digs and Jessica Pafumi had three kills, 12 digs, and a pair of service aces.
