COLCHESTER, Vt. - The Lyndon women's cross country team placed fourth out of five teams at the annual St. Michael's Invitational.
University of Vermont junior Morgan Powers finished the five-kilometer race in 18:25, earning a 19-second victory over second-place teammate Bo Dunn.
Lyndon was led by Susannah Powell (Lunenburg, Vt.), who placed 26th in a time of 21:19. The Hornets Nikki Brown (Franklin, Mass.) came in 28th with a time of 21:37 and Allynne O'Hearn (Pelham, N.H.) placed 30th in 21:48.
Lyndon's Leah Morgan (Milton, Vt.) placed 34th in 22:26, Gabrielle Mathewson (Sheffield, Vt.) came in 35th with a mark of 22:27 and Sarah Leclerc (Berlin, N.H.) crossed the finish line in 42nd place with a time of 23:07.
