Lyndon harriers named to All-NAC teams
LYNDON CENTER, Vt. — Six members of the Lyndon men's cross country team, and four from the Hornet women's program, have been named to the All-North Atlantic Conference Team for their performances at the 2010 NAC Championships held Saturday, Oct. 31 in Castine Maine.
For the Lyndon women, senior Nicole Brown ran to a seventh place with a time of 20:42.92 while teammate Allynne O'Hearn, a junior, finished right on her heels in eighth-place with a mark of 20:47.39. For their efforts, Brown and O'Hearn earned All-NAC First-Team honors.
In the men's race, Lyndon won its third consecutive conference title. The Hornets, who took home the team title with a score of 22, had six of the top-eight runners in the meet.
Finishing second in the race was Lyndon sophomore Joshua Grant in a time of 26:46.35. Junior Michael Farmer (27:18.49) placed third while Hornets' freshman Kenedi Hall finished fourth in 27:25.96 to walk off with NAC Rookie of the Year honors.
Hornet junior Wildens Fils placed sixth with a mark of 28:03.24, freshman Dylan MacNevin came in seventh in 28:07.03 and junior Craig Johnson crossed the finish line in eighth place with a time of 28:12.82.
All three received First-Team All-NAC honors along with front runners Grant, Farmer and Hall.
