COLCHESTER, Vt. – The Lyndon women's cross country team turned in a few outstanding individual performance at the St. Michael's Invitational as two team members posted personal records. Sophomore Ainsley Nettell (Jaffrey, N.H.) covered the 5-kilometer course for a personal record in 23:23 as did junior Meagan Swahn (Sharon, Vt.) in 24:31.
The Hornets were led by senior Cassie Tricou (New Haven, Vt.) in a time of 21:30.
"On a day in which the plan was not to run hard, I'm impressed," said Head Coach Chris Ummer. "We had planned to run the race as more of a tempo run or good workout, being that the teams were coming off of just four days rest after racing Sunday. So to run this fast with a handful of personal records is a pleasant surprise. We'll have two good weeks of training to sharpen up for the North Atlantic Conference championships."
