Lyndon women finish seventh at NAC Meet

HENNIKER, N.H. – The Lyndon women's team battled to a seventh place team finish at the 2012 North Atlantic Conference Championship Meet.

The Hornets were led by senior Cassie Tricou (New Haven, VTt.). She covered the five-kilometer course in a personal record time of 20:39 while placing seventh overall. Tricou was followed by sophomore Ainsley Nettell (Jaffrey, N.H.) who also ran to a PR of 22:47 and placed eighteen overall.

The top five Hornet scoring places were completed by senior Leah Morgan (Milton, Vt.) in 24:36, sophomore Haley Joslyn (Middlesex, Vt.) in 25:04 and junior Meagan Swahn (Sharon, Vt.) in 25:53.

"It was nice to see the ladies run their best 5k race of the year," said Head Coach Chris Ummer. "If there's a time to do it, it's at the conference championships and that's what they did. I'm very proud of the way they've developed this year. With only two team members with former collegiate cross country experience this year, they've really made a statement about what a solid training program can do for someone."
