Hornet men unable to generate enough offense against Green Mountain

Poultney, VT - The Northern Vermont University-Lyndon men's basketball team wasn't able to get much going offensively on Wednesday afternoon as they dropped an 81-62 non-conference decision at Green Mountain College. The Eagles move to 11-5 on the season while the Hornets fall to 2-15.

Greg Alexander topped five Eagles in double figures, finishing with 20 points. Jacob Plum finished with 12 points and seven rebounds. Damon Denteh (Jamaica, NY) led the Hornets with 17 points while Ricky Shuford (Prattville, AL) scored ten second half points and Jahleel Gabriel (Springfield, MA) pulled down ten rebounds.

The Hornets will return to action on Saturday afternoon when they travel to NVU-Johnson. Tip-off for the North Atlantic Conference contest, which will also count towards the NVU President's Cup Challenge, is set for 1:00 pm.
