LYNDONVILLE, Vt. – Gaining their third conference victory, the Lyndon State College men's lacrosse squad downed Green Mountain College 22-0 in North Atlantic Conference action Saturday afternoon at the Varsity Athletic Field.
Zachary Carey (Exeter, N.H.) grasped five goals and two ground balls. Spencer Aubin (Sharon, Mass.) added three goals, an assist, and a ground ball. Adam Peeler (Worcester, Mass.) and Kendrick Mills (Bellows Falls, Vt.) pitched in two goals with five and six ground balls, respectively. Ian Pelkey (Milton, Vt.), Brandon Hunter (Glastonbury, Conn.), Marshall Blackman (North Attleboro, Mass.), Logan Parenti (Salem, N.H.), Shea Jones (Hull, Mass.), and Konner Bick (North Syracuse, N.Y.) all added a goal each. Timmy Scanlon (Richmond, Vt.), Conor Brennan (Southington, Conn.), Jet Magri (Lincolnville, Maine), and Tom Lanza (Hebron, Conn.) each recorded their first career goal. Anthony Altermatt (New Milford, Conn.) had a game-high eight ground balls.
Ethan Cooper (Wevertown, N.Y.) had three ground balls and two caused turnovers while Chris Surdam (Plymouth, Mass.), Brandon Bellissimo (Chicago, Ill.), and John Waddington (Jamestown, R.I.) collected two ground balls each.
Shane Morin (5-3) (Salem, N.H.) grasped the win for the Hornets with two saves while Marcus Bessette (Pembroke, N.H.) relieved him in the second half and collected five saves for the combined shutout.
Carl Diethelm (1-6) (Asheville, N.C.) had thirteen saves on the day for the Eagles.
Lyndon (6-4, 3-0 NAC) travels to Wheelock on Tuesday, April 18th at 5:30 p.m.
Green Mountain (1-7, 1-3 NAC) hosts New England College on Wednesday at 3:30 p.m.
