Hornet men's soccer unable to keep up with SUNY Canton

Canton, NY - The Northern Vermont University-Lyndon men's soccer team went on the road on Saturday afternoon and came up on the short end of a 6-0 score at SUNY Canton.  The Roos improved to 7-6-2 on the season and 4-1 in North Atlantic Conference play, while the Hornets fell to 1-11 overall and 1-4 in the NAC.

Canton dominated play throughout, outshooting Lyndon 32-1 over the match.  Josh Geller scored a pair of goals for the Roos while Will Austin, Edward Malinoski Jr., Kyle Smith, and Ellis sanchez posted single goals.  Hornet goalkeeper Dennis Farnham III (Orono, ME) made three saves in taking the loss, while Canton keepers Mouhammed Thiam and Tyler Petersen did not face a shot on goal.

The Hornets close out their home campaign on Wednesday afternoon when they host Plymouth State University in a non-conference contest.  Kickoff is set for 3:00 pm on Varsity Field.
