Waterville, ME - Northern Vermont University-Lyndon cross country runners Anthony Pifari (Littleton, NH) and Zosia Prince (Sutton, VT) both captured North Atlantic Conference honors for the week ending October 14th. Pifari was named the Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week while Prince was named Women's Cross Country Rookie of the Week. This marks the first time that Pifari has been named Runner of the Week to go with two earlier Rookie of the Week recognitions. This is the third time that Prince has been selected as Rookie of the Week. she also has one Runner of the Week honor to her credit.
Pifari ran in the Western New England University Invitational on Saturday, clocking in at 27:21 over the soggy 8K course. Pifari was the top runner for the Hornets and the 12th overall out of 134 runners. Pifari helped the Hornets notch a ninth place team finish. The race included five Harvard University runners as well as many of the top Division III runners in New England.
Prince clocked 25:05 over Western New England's soggy 6K course. Shewas the top runner for the Hornets on the day and finished 36th out of 122 Division I & Division III runners.

Pifari and Prince will lead the Hornets into the NAC Championship meet on October 28th. The meet will be held at Troy Howard Middle School in Belfast, ME. The women's 5K race is scheduled to go off at 11:00 am, with the men's 8K race to follow at noon.
