Hornet runners take top four places in dual meet win over NVU-Johnson

Johnson, VT - Northern Vermont University-Lyndon runners finished in the top four spots as the Hornets defeated NVU-Johnson 20-35 in a dual meet on Thursday afternoon.  The meet served as a warmup for the two teams as they prepare for the North Atlantic Conference Championships on October 28th.

Freshman Anthony Pifari (Littleton, NH) paced the Hornets over the 5K course, crossing the finish line first in a time of 16:04.  Benjamin Cornell (Burrillville, RI) finished second in a time of 17:24.  Matt Francis (Freeport, ME) and Zak Johnson (East Hampton, CT) came in thrid and fourth respectively in 18:56 and 19:50.  Robert Denton III (Providence, RI) was Lyndon's other scoring runner, finishing in 25:23.

The Hornets are off until the NAC Championships, which will be run at the Troy Howard Middle School in Belfast, ME.  Race time is 12:00 pm.
