Chichester leads Hornet men's cross country to win over NVU-Johnson

Johnson, VT - Northern Vermont University-Lyndon junior Christopher Chichester (Orleans, VT) was the first runner across the finish line at Monday's 4K dual meet, leading NVU-Lyndon to a 26-29 win over NVU-Johnson.

Chichester finished with a time of 14:06.  Michael Bear (Colchester, VT) finished third with a time of 15:42 and Peter Gilding (St. Johnsbury, VT) took fifth with a time of 17:37.  Matthew Sheridan (Groveport, OH) and Joseph Gonzalez-Lyons (Plattsburgh, NY) were Lyndon's other scoring runners.

The Hornets will return to competition at the Western New England University Invitational on October 19th.  The men's race is scheduled to begin at 11:00 am.
