LYNDON CENTER, Vt. — It didn't take long for Naomi White (Danville, Vt.) to write her name onto the long list of 1,000 point scorers at Lyndon State College. Needing only seven points to eclipse the mark, the senior forward scored the first eight points of the game to record the feat and lead the Hornets to a 76-43 victory over Johnson State.
White buried two three-point field goals in the first three minutes of the contest before connecting on a free throw a few seconds later to reach the prestigious scoring mark. She finished the contest with 20 points, 17 rebounds and two assists as Lyndon improved to 7-12 overall and 5-8 in the North Atlantic Conference.
Donna Lawson (Irasburg, Vt.) chipped in 24 points, 10 rebounds, three blocked shots, one steal and one assist for the winners and Jasmin Amaral (Westport, Mass.) added 12 points, five rebounds, four assists, three steals and one block
Brittany Robertson had 17 points, seven rebounds, two assists and two steals for the Badgers (4-15, 2-11) and Andrea Duell collected 10 points, four rebounds, three steals, two blocked shots and one assist. K.C. Cousineau had a game-high four blocked shots in the contest.
