LYNDON CENTER, Vt. - David Johnson, a senior guard on the Lyndon men's basketball team, and Mikayla Hodge, a freshman center with the Hornet women's basketball program, have been named to the All-North Atlantic Conference Basketball Team for their performances throughout the 2014-15 season.
Johnson, who was named to the All-NAC First Team, averaged 19.7 points, 2.3 steals and 3.0 assists per game for Lyndon. He is connected on 39.8 percent of his field goal attempts while shooting 33.9 and 80.7 percent from beyond the three-point and free throw line, respectively. It was the second consecutive year Johnson was named to te All-NAC squad. He was an All-NAC Second Team selection a year ago.
Hodge, a freshman center from Newbury, Vt., was a force amongst NAC rookies in the 2014-15 season. For her efforts, she was named the NAC's Rookie of the Year.
She currently is the league leader in rebounds (217) and rebounds per game (8.7), while also being tied for third in blocks (34) and blocks per game (1.4). She led the Hornets in points (254), field goals made (93-of-226), field goal percentage (41.2), and free throws made (68-of-97). Hodge also ranks second on her team in points per game (10.2). The talented newcomer tallied NAC Rookie of the Week honors five times this season.
