HENNIKER, N.H. – The Lyndon State College women's basketball team rallied for a 63-55 North Atlantic Conference victory over New England College Wednesday night.

The Pilgrims (16-6, 10-5 NAC) were led by Rene Hudson with a double-double of 11 points and 14 rebounds.  Haleigh Martin added 10 points, three rebounds, and three assists.

Foy and Hodge provided all of Lyndon's first quarter points as the teams were deadlocked at 11-11 after 10 minutes of play.

The Pilgrims started the second stanza off with a 7-0 run for an 18-11 advantage before a five point burst gave them the largest lead thus far at 23-13.  The hosts went on to outscore the Hornets 16-10 in the quarter to go into halftime up 27-21.

Harmon opened up the third quarter with the first three-pointer of her career, followed by a three from Foy to quickly knot the score at 27-27.  After a layup from Hudson, Hodge knocked one down from deep to give the Hornets their first lead since the first quarter, 30-29.  The Pilgrims took the lead back momentarily but a jumper from Foy with only seconds remaining sent the teams into the final quarter tied at 41-41.

A 7-2 run gave the Pilgrims a 48-43 lead with 6:29 on the clock but the Hornets came roaring back with 10-straight points to take a 53-48 lead with 3:19 to play.  Up six points with under a minute to play, the Hornets went 8-for-10 from the charity stripe to secure the 63-55 victory.
