Hornet women's lacrosse drops season finale to Thomas

Lyndonville, VT - The Northern Vermont University-Lyndon women's lacrosse team closed out their season on Wednesday evening.  The Hornets dropped the North Atlantic Conference contest to Thomas College, 20-5.  With the win, Thomas improves to 4-8 overall and 1-4 in conference.  Lyndon finishes winless in 12 games, including five NAC tilts.

Mackenzie Driscoll and Alexis Felch had a big game to pace Thomas, scoring five and four goals respectively.  Tanasia Eldon was credited with five draw controls.  For Lyndon, Tori McCormack (East Lyme, CT) and Felisha Olmstead (St. Johnsbury, VT each scored twice.  Michaela Columbia (Orleans, VT) had a single goal, five ground balls, six draw contols, and three caused turnovers.

The Terriers outshot the Hornets, 40-22.  Lyndon held a 15-12 advantage in ground balls and a 16-11 margin in draw controls..  Thomas goalies Arianna Cannistraro and Addyson Bond split time in goal and combined to make 12 saves.  Zoe Pierce-Olhson (Gales Ferry, CT) made 11 saves for the Hornets.
