Women’s soccer opens with loss to Plymouth State

PLYMOUTH, N.H. – The Lyndon State College women's soccer team kicked off their season by traveling to Plymouth State University (1-0-0) where they were downed 6-0. 

At the 9:26 mark, Plymouth's Hannah Kallis (Sanford, Maine) put her team on the board with a goal from the left endline.  Soon after, Kallis set up Kate Martin (Keene, N.H.) for their second goal on a corner kick.  After a pair of goals from Kallis and Emily Crawford (Albuquerque, N.M.), Plymouth finished out the half up 4-0.

Leah Swanson (Atkinson, N.H.) and Sophie Brisere (Stockholm, Sweden) added second half goals for Plymouth (1-0-0).

Sarah Gerry (South Hero, Vt.) had the lone shot for Lyndon.

Lyndon's Johanna Sargent (West Brookfield, Vt.) had a busy day, making 12 saves.

Lyndon (0-1-0) plays host to College of St. Joseph (Vt.) on Saturday, September 3rd at 12:00 p.m. with the men's soccer team soon to follow at 3:00 p.m. versus the University of Maine-Presque Isle.
