NEW LONDON, N.H. – The Lyndon State College women's soccer team was defeated by Colby-Sawyer College 11-0 in North Atlantic Conference action Sunday afternoon.
Senior Rachel Quaye (Westminster, Mass.) scored the game's first goal off a feed from senior Lizzie Jorgensen (Manchester, Vt.).
Jorgensen finished the afternoon with a pair of goals and the one assist. Freshman Leah Dupuis (Concord, N.H.) notched her first collegiate tally and finished with two goals and an assist.
Junior Erin Mulready (Rockland, Mass.) and sophomore Shelby Kantor (East Burke, Vt.) also recorded their first collegiate tallies.
The Chargers also received goals from Nell McQueeney (West Danville, Vt.), Molly MacLure (Westford, Mass.), Maddie Chamard (Portsmouth, R.I.) and Natalie Ellard (Rockland, Mass.).
Hornet sophomore Brooke Breault (Albany, N.Y.) led the team with a pair of shots on net.
Junior Johanna Sargent (West Brookfield, Vt.) made several spectacular saves and finished with 16 for Lyndon.
Sophomore Oona Bond (Southborough, Mass.) made three saves to earn the shutout for Colby-Sawyer.
Lyndon (2-9-1, 0-6-1 NAC) play at Thomas College on Saturday at 1:30 p.m.
Colby-Sawyer (3-8-1, 2-2-1 NAC) travel to Green Mountain College on Wednesday.
