Lyndonville, VT - Northern Vermont University-Lyndon has released its 2019 women's soccer schedule. The Hornets, under the direction of third year head coach Katy Ebner, will face a challenging 15 game regular season slate, with nine home matches on Varsity Field.

The Hornets will open their season on Saturday, August 31st, when they host Rivier University in a non-conference matchup. The following weekend, September 7th & 8th, Lyndon will host the inaugural Northern Vermont University Tournament.
Following the tournament, Lyndon will host Anna Maria College before going on the road for a pair of games at Mitchell College and Albertus Magnus College. They will complete the non-conference portion of the scheudle with a home match against Pine Manor College on September 18th.
SUNY Canton comes to Varsity Field to open North Atlantic Conference play on September 21st. The following weekend the Hornets go on the road to UMaine-Preque Isle. Three days later they travel to NVU-Johnson for a match that will be both a NAC and NVU President's Cup matchup.
Lyndon returns home to host Husson University on October 5th before traveling to Maine for a pair of matches against Thomas College and Maine Maritime Academy. Two home games against SUNY Delhi and UMaine-Farmington conclude the regular season.
The top six finishers in the NAC conference standings will qualify for the conference championship tournament. The quarter-finals will be played on November 2nd or 3rd, with the Final Four played the following weekend on the home pitch of the regular season champion.
Lyndon will be looking to build on their 2018 campaign, which saw the Hornets finish with a 5-9-1 overall record, a five win improvement over 2017. They posted a 1-5-1 mark in NAC play to finish in seventh place.
