Hornets Place Fourth at Panther Spring Invitational

MIDDLEBURY, Vt. – The Lyndon State College women's track and field team continued their inaugural NCAA season at Middlebury College's Panther Spring Invitational Sunday afternoon.  The Hornets placed fourth out of six teams after scoring two points.

Top Performances

Abby Salvadore (Portsmouth, N.H.) placed fifth in the javelin throw to tally the two points for the Hornets after recording a distance of 33.22 meters.

Jessica Hillman (Gardiner, Maine) finished seventh in the 100 meter dash at 14.19 seconds, improving from last week's mark of 14.33.  Hillman also finished eighth in the long jump with a distance of 4.29 meters, improving from last week's distance of 4.20 meters. 

In her first meet, Mariah Ramos (Lebanon, N.H.) placed tenth in the discus throw with a distance of 22.57 meters.

Holly Silva (Chester, Vt.) improved on her discus throw by almost two meters after throwing a distance of 22.09 meters.

The Hornets will compete at the Fitchburg Invitational next on Saturday, April 15.
