Women’s Track and Field Finishes Fifth at First NAC Championship

NEW LONDON, N.H. – The Lyndon State College women's track and field team finished fifth in the North Atlantic Conference Championship Sunday at Colby-Sawyer College.

Top Finishers

Abby Salvadore (Portsmouth, N.H.) picked up eight points for the Hornets for placing second in the javelin throw with a distance of 33.97m.  Salvadore also placed ninth in the discus after improving her personal best from 25.20m to 26.95m.

Jessica Hillman (Gardiner, Maine) placed fifth in the 100m with a time of 13.95 seconds in the finals to score two points.  Hillman also placed seventh in the long jump, finishing just outside of the points, and finished 13th in the 200m dash.

Felisha Olmstead (St. Johnsbury, Vt.) grabbed a half a point for tying sixth in the pole vault, clearing 2.35m.

Salvadore will compete in the New England Championship in the javelin throw.
