Salvadore breaks three school records at Trinity Invitational

Hartford, CT - Lyndon State College Senior Abby Salvadore (Portsmouth, NH) set school records in Shot Put, Discus, and Javelin at the Trinity College Invitational on Saturday.  In Shot Put she finished 4th with a mark of 10.10 meters.  In Discus she finished 4th and qualified for the NCAA Division III New England Championships with a mark of 34.49 meters.  In Javelin she finished in 3rd with a mark of 39.94 meters.

Jessica Hillman (Gardiner, ME) broke her own school record in the 100 meter hurdles with a time of 18.50 seconds, finishing in 4th place.  She also competed in the Long Jump, placing 7th with a mark of 4.43 meters.

Hornet head coach Hayden Bunnell had this to say:  "Abby had a great day and is looking really good for the NAC Championships next week.  Jessica is learning to make improvements and adjustments with the hurdles, which I think she is picking up quickly in that event.  Overall I liked what I saw today."

The Hornets will compete in the North Atlantic Conference Championships next Sunday at Colby-Sawyer College.  The meet will begin at 10:00 am.
