Salvadore completes record breaking career at Williams Final Qualifier

Williamstown, MA - Northern Vermont University-Lyndon javelin thrower Abby Salvadore (Portsmouth, NH) finished in fourth place at the Williams Final Qualifier Meet on Wednesday afternoon.  Salvadore's mark was 38.82 meters.

Salvadore concludes her career as the school record holder in javelin, shot put, and discus.  She was the two-time North Atlantic Conference Senior Student-Athlete of the Year and a three-time All-Conference selection, earning 1st Team honors the past two seasons following 2nd Team honors in 2017.  She also earned the Dudley Bell Award as Lyndon's most outstanding female athlete and the Green & Gold Award as the female athlete with the highest grade point average.

Hornet head coach Hayden Bunnell reflected on Salvadore's performence today and on her career.  "Abby did not have the performance she had hoped but considering the concussion protocol she was on at the beginning of the season, she still had a pretty good year and I am proud to have had her on my team.  She will definitely be doing great things after Lyndon."
