Benalcazar named to NAC Volleyball Sportsmanship Team

Waterville, ME - Northern Vermont University-Lyndon volleyball player Katherine Benalcazar (Naugatuck, CT) has been named to the North Atlantic Conference Volleyball Sportsmanship Team, as determined by conference coaches and announced on Thursday.

Benalcazar, a freshman outside hitter and pre-nursing and psychology major, played in 13 sets over eight matches, recording three digs in the process.

The NAC Women's Volleyball Sportsmanship Team is reserved for those who have distinguished themselves through demonstrated acts of sportsmanship and ethical behavior.  The honorees are individuals who have positively affected the volleyball culture and environment, and whose behavior clearly demonstrates sportsmanship and integrity.

Lyndon finished the 2018 season winless in 22 matches, including five NAC contests.
