Women's cross country sees improvement

BRUNSWICK, Maine - The women's team raced very well at the Bowdoin Invitational, has they hit many of their personal and team goals.  Senior Sierra Hargrave (St. Johnsbury, Vt.) cruised the 5k course in time of 21:48.93, followed by sophomore Anna Gear (Fort Myers, Fla.) with a time of 24:05.67.  Sophomore Felisha Olmstead (St. Johnsbury, Vt.) finished in 25:13.34, followed by Junior Elizabeth Start (Randolph, Vt.) with a time of 25:38.90.  Freshman Isabelle Tuggle (Norwich, Vt.) finished in 26:06.30 to round out the score.  Sophomore Sarah Levesque (North Smithfield, R.I.) and senior Carmen Mears (Barre, Vt.) finished in 27:10.41 and 27:55.29, while senior Sydney Kipp (Bennington, Vt.) finished out the team with 29:29.71.

"The ladies did an excellent job today, they not only did well individually, but we saw a closer gap between our 3rd and 7th runner," expressed assistant coach Hayden Bunnell.  "It will be interesting see how much they improve and grow as the season continues to unfold."
